The end of last week I was not in a good mood..just so uncomfortable from these restless legs that keep me up at night. Then I decided to take a cool/cold bath on Friday night. I almost slept through the whole night and didn't have restless legs. Still Saturday morning I was feeling restless in general. My mom suggested I do some crafts. I thought about how I used to do cross stitch when I was little.
So we went to Michaels and got a cross stitch kit. Then we went to Leonidas chocolate store..Yum
We wanted to get chocolates for the hospital staff during the birth. The doula we took classes with insisted this was very important. So we got the chocolates and sampled a few ourselves. They were so good. I keep dreaming of the pralines. I think they were magical or something. I didn't feel sick all day
Doing the cross stitch made me feel better also. I am not sure why. I haven't done one since I was 8 or 10. I already messed it up but hopefully I will be able to salvage it.
We had sushi for lunch. I had spam sushi for the first time, Wes made it. He says it is an Hawaiian thing. I also had salmon. It topped off the day. With not feeling nauseous and not having rested legs I felt better than I had in a while!
I was sure to take another cool bath at night and Wes gave me a long leg massage which helped me sleep again through the night.
Sunday we took Sasha to a beach in Malibu were dogs are allowed. We went there a couple weeks ago also but we forgot the camera battery. It was a cool, misting morning but I still went in. The water feels so good. My body temperature is raised so much being pregnant. When not pregnant I would shudder at the idea of stepping a toe in the water.. even during the day, probably why I hadn't been in the ocean in 5 or so years before this month when I've gone in three times!
It is so funny to see Sasha in the water. She is obsessed with the beach but hardly gets to go since dogs aren't allowed most places. She loves to walk on the beach but gets a little overwhelmed when she goes in the water. She tries to catch the waves and eat them and barks her head off.
I had been talking to Wes for weeks about how it sucked being gluten free especially when I had so many food aversions being pregnant. I just wanted a cinnamon donut! I am not even a big donut person but I just wanted one! But making donuts was just not something I wanted to do.
Then there I was with these donuts staring right at me with the words "gluten free" I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
They also had vanilla glazed, maple glazed and chocolate glazed. I got the cinnamon AND the chocolate glazed. Yeah, they were $7 a box for 6 little donuts but I didn't think twice about getting them.
So we went to a health food store and I get two boxes of donuts, oh and cheese puffs! Oh man!
I heated up a cinnamon donut in the toaster oven as soon as I got home. It was so good! It tasted like a donut! Yay! It's the little things I tell you!
