Our new favorite carrier: Becco Butterfly 2

Little Kai is extremely observant. He always likes to look around.. so the bassinet on our stroller just wasn't doing it for our walks. I wanted a carrier that was easier than the ergo, were he could sit upright.
I am sure the Ergo will be great when he is 15 lbs and can sit upright. In the mean time I just did not like the infant insert- he has to lie sideways, always looked squashed and couldn't look around. I wish I had the becco from the beginning! It has an infant insert that is just like a extra pocket holding him up higher and it can be used when baby is only 7lbs. It is very similar in shape to the ergo, but I find it a little easier to put on myself. It does have a panel of fabric between mom and baby, which some may not like- but that makes it very easy to transfer baby from one person to another.
There are also lots of patterns to pick from.
Kai loves it. During our walks he looks around and turns his head from side to side and eventually gets sleeping and falls asleep.

One thing I wanted to add after using the carrier frequently the past couple weeks. It doesn't fit my husband's shoulders, he can squeeze it on but it isn't comfortable and the straps don't allow for any further adjustment. But we still love it and use it all the time. It seems they should allow for more adjustment of all of the straps though.

***Update for babies over 15 pounds my favorite carrier is the Ergo Organic. It is similar to the Becco but I find the material much softer and the buckles of better quality. Plus it can be adjusted more for my husband to wear. For both carriers it is good to play around with the placement of the bottom strap around your waist. If you put it in the wrong place it can be uncomfortable.
